iPhone can't install these apps from the App Store, so operators use configuration profiles or enterprise certificates. That workaround carries risks many users don't realise they're accepting.
How iOS installation works
Instead of the App Store, you're asked to install a profile and then 'Trust' a developer under Settings › General › VPN & Device Management. Doing so grants that developer meaningful control over what runs on your device.
The risks
Enterprise certificates are frequently revoked by Apple, which suddenly breaks the app. Malicious profiles can also route traffic or install further software. Only trust a profile from a source you've verified, and remove profiles you no longer use.
A common 'white screen' error usually means a revoked certificate or a blocked connection — not a reason to reinstall from an unknown link.
Safer alternative
Where an operator offers an HTML5 web version in Safari, it avoids installing anything at all — often the lower-risk route on iOS.
