Why side-loading is risky
APKs installed outside the Play Store skip Google's review. That's the same channel malware uses. On Android, keep Google Play Protect switched on; if you ever enabled 'install unknown apps,' turn it back off immediately afterwards.
Permissions a game should NEVER need
SMS or call access — the classic vector for stealing one-time passwords (TAC).
Contacts, photos/gallery, or accessibility services.
If an installer requests any of these, stop and delete it. A slot game does not need your text messages.
On iOS
iOS side-loading uses configuration profiles or enterprise certificates. 'Trust this developer' hands real control to a third party — only ever do it for a source you've genuinely verified, and be aware Apple can revoke these certificates at any time, breaking the app.
The golden rule
No legitimate app asks you to pay a fee to 'unlock' a bonus, and none needs your banking password. Both are scams, every time.
